Bangmata Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall of Khulna University visited the sunflower field in the fallow land, Khulna District Deputy Director Agronomist Kazi Jahangir Hossain Sir, Directorate of Agricultural Extension, Khamarbari, Khulna. Agronomist Mr. Pankaj Kanti Majumder Sir (Retired) was also present. Agriculturalist Mr. Farhadiba Shams, Head of our Metropolitan Agriculture Office, Labanchara, Khulna was also present. The professors of the university were also present.


Our achievements
Due to the achievement of SDG, the Department of Agricultural Extension, Khulna District's success
(2008-09 to 2017-18)
* Increase in food grain production: 80320 MT. Oval: 27367 Mt.
* Distribution of agricultural input assistance cards among 3,0205 farmers.
* Opening bank accounts of 103813 farmers at only ten rupees.
* Providing assistance of 2,541,15,527 in agriculture rehabilitation / promotion program to 19941 farmers.
* For farm mechanization, 322 subsidized price of 25% subsidy, 15% for subsidized subsidy, 7% for 50% subsidy
Distribution of 74 agricultural machinery at 70% subsidy price.
* Free agricultural machinery distribution 340.
* Training of 1,35,434 peasant farmers on new technologies for the development of different skills.
* Til (1128 ha), watermelon (3468 ha), rice (34500 ha) on the unprotected land to face climate change.
And the extension of cultivation (2965 hem) cultivation.
* To ensure food security, safe vegetable and fruit production 60,000 Mt
* Increased intensity of crops in 2008-09 (178%) in 2016-17 (202%)
